Biography

Bianca Balti never intended to become an international supermodel. She was a full-time web-design student when she first decided to strut her stuff on the catwalk in order to finance her spring break. “For one month, I wanted some work to pay for my holidays,” she says.

Luckily for us, Bianca’s one-month job has blossomed into a thriving career. Though she was initially turned away by such agencies as Elite Model Management, which has represented such models as Alessandra Ambrosio and Heidi Klum, it only took a few months after she was discovered in 2004 for her to begin appearing in high-profile ready-to-wear shows for Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Emanuel Ungaro, Hermes, Valentino, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, and many others. Her gorgeous face also graced the covers of glossy publications such as L'Officiel, Numero and Amica.

2006 was another banner year for Bianca, as she appeared in shows for more A-list designers, such as Bill Blass, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Givenchy, Gucci, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, and Stella McCartney. Rumor has it that this Italian goddess is also primed to become the next Victoria’s Secret Angel following the imminent retirement of Gisele Bundchen.
